Dot Sign Language will not allow lockdown to stop us marking Deaf Awareness Week. Our passion has always been raising awareness of Deaf issues, improving accessibility and teaching British Sign Language.
Having got to grips with Zoom, our teachers are committed to teaching our BSL courses and supporting every student. Great news – this week the first of our students are taking assessments on Zoom.
On Thursday Kathleen will be a ‘Guest Speaker’ for AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians.) She has a fabulous 2 hour session packed with information about the causes of deafness, Deaf history, education and culture; as well as teaching some BSL phrases.
Deaf people are very used to using technology which can be used to communicate visually. We are putting it into practice this year!
