School Invites Dot to ‘Citizenship & Community Week’

This morning one of our Communication Support Workers went along to her local school to explain to the year 1 pupils how she supports the Deaf community through her work as a CSW. This session was organised to be a part of their “Citizenship and Community week.”

The children learnt some Deaf awareness and really enjoyed practising some BSL signs, especially the animal signs after their trip to the zoo last week. They were all given BSL Fingerspelling leaflets to take home.

If you think your school or community group would like a training session on Deaf Awareness or British Sign Language training then please contact us
