The dry ski slope at Aldershot has been home to a ski club for disabled skiers for over 40 years. It is now called Aldershot Snowsport for the Disabled (ASD) http://asdaldershot.org/.
In November and December this year a group of beginner and intermediate Deaf skiers joined the monthly ASD session, and the Christmas party! We would like now to start a Deaf Ski Club which will be a branch of the ASD so that it can take advantage of the volunteer ASD instructors.
To help this club take off we are looking for experienced skiers/ instructors who can sign or who would like to learn to BSL. If you are interested in this new project please contact Jan at http://disabilityskialdershot@hotmail.co.uk
