Learn British Sign Language for Duke of Edinburgh Award

We have had several teenagers learn BSL with us for their ‘skills’ section of their Bronze, Silver or Gold DofE award. We are very happy that more have booked this year.

This February as well as running a full Level 1 course with three assessments, we are offering the chance to just do the first 20 hours of the course with one assessment. This will count as 3 months studying a skill.

This is called ‘Introduction to BSL’ see website for full details.

This shorter course is more manageable to complete alongside school / college / university studies; at £150 it is cheaper, and will give you a recognised Signature BSL qualification.

The Signature ‘Introduction to BSL’ and Level 1 do not have a minimum age, so are appropriate for teenagers. The course will be taught by Paul Dench who is a highly regarded level 1 teacher and is fully DBS checked.

Our team are familiar with completing the online DofE report forms.

The ‘Introduction to BSL’ and Level 1 course will be held at The Trinity Methodist Church, Brewery Road, Woking, GU21 4LH. Saturday afternoons, 1.30 – 3.30pm, starting February 2nd.
