Last year I met Sarah Burrell – and Inclusion and Diversity Trainer and Consultant, who is passionate about helping businesses be accessible to people with all disabilities. We chatted and realised we have many shared experiences and beliefs. This is why I was so pleased when Sarah invited me to present at her event next month (May 9th.) I will be discussing the barriers I have faced in the workplace as a Deaf BSL user, what I have done to overcome them, and what I believe businesses need to do to be accessible and welcoming to Deaf colleagues and customers.
