On a balmy Friday evening in July Dot staff and students got together to celebrate the end of a successful academic year.

Dot supplied the burgers, bangers, buns and lashings of Pimms, while students brought along a huge selection of delicious salads and desserts.

In previous years we have tried different types of venues and formats  for our social ‘get togethers’. These have included pubs, restaurants and classrooms.

This particular event proved to be popular because it kept the cost to a minimum, provided some great food and still gave an opportunity for students of all BSL levels to mix with other signers and practice their skills.

A few hard core students stayed outdoors most of the evening……..even through the showers!

The evening consisted of a BBQ and an informal awards ceremony when some of those who had already received their results were presented   with their certificates by our Director, Kathleen Grehan.

The partying went on into the wee small hours!!
