Paul is looking forward to starting the new year with a new course – he will be teaching a 10 week ‘Introduction to BSL’ course at The Recovery College in Frimley.
Recovery Colleges help people improve their health and wellbeing through educational courses on a range of psychological, mental and physical health conditions. By learning British Sign Language the staff will be able to communicate with the many Deaf people they meet at work.
We have put together a tailor-made course which incorporates the BSL skills and vocabulary needed to achieve the Signature BSL 101 assessment, as well as including specific signs which will be most useful for the Recovery College team in the day to day work.
We think the college is sending out an vital message about the importance of learning BSL and being accessible to BSL users.
