Dot Sign Language to be Guest of Weybridge WI

Dot Sign Language has always been committed to working in the local community to raise awareness of Deaf issues and to encourage more people to learn BSL. For this reason, when we met Liz Doble from Weybridge Women’s Institute at one of our taster evenings we jumped at the opportunity to visit the group as a guest speaker.

With a fellowship of more than 200,000 women, the WI is the largest women’s organisation in the UK. It is a place to forge friendships, learn new skills and make a difference in the community. We hold the same beliefs!

Since then times have changed and Paul cannot physically go to the Weybridge meeting. Happily though, since lockdown this WI group have been holding their regular meetings via Zoom and have had a bigger attendance than ever!

Having successfully presented to large groups using Zoom, we are extremely happy to be able to honour this commitment using video conferencing. We look forward to providing an information-packed session at the July meeting.
