Dot Sign Language are proud to offer Workplace Training Sessions designed to enable staff in any industry to become Deaf Aware, to confidently communicate with Deaf customers and to help make their place of work accessible to Deaf BSL users.
We are extremely excited to announce that our Deaf Awareness Workplace Training meets the high standards required to gain CPD (Continual Professional Development) accreditation.
CPD describes learning activities professionals can take part in to develop and improve their abilities at work. It’s a record of what you experience, learn and then apply.
- Make sure your qualifications do not become out of date.
- Gain new skills or improving existing ones.
- Aid your career development or a possible career change.
The benefit to employers is that staff will become more knowledgeable and motivated, and in turn the company will be more successful and attractive to customers and employees.
Most industries have now realised the value of vocational and skills-based or ‘practical’ learning.
Our Deaf Awareness training is presented by Deaf teachers and interpreted throughout, so attendees can fully immerse themselves in British Sign Language. We combine interactive presentations, group discussions, Q&A and ‘hands on’ signing sessions.
Educational and motivating, our training sessions don’t only enable you to comply with current legislation; they are a great way to find out about issues that affect Deaf customers / patients, friends, family members and work colleagues, and improve your communication skills.
We run three different sessions depending on your workplace – Private Company, Public Sector and NHS. We can tailor the information and the content of the signing sessions to your individual need.
Our three hour workshop gives three CPD points.
