Workplace Training - Private Businesses

Are all your staff confident in communicating with Deaf customers and colleagues?

How can you make your services accessible to Deaf people?

Our workplace training is tailored to the needs of the organisation and varies according to the nature of business. In a thought provoking, interactive session we will cover:

Awareness of Deaf issues, people, and culture

What is British Sign Language?

Understanding how The Equality Act affects your business

Practical steps every employee can take to be Deaf Aware

A ‘hands on’ session learning BSL signs relevant to your organisation.

Educational and motivating, our training sessions are a great way to find out about issues that affect Deaf friends, family members, employees, work colleagues and customers; improve your communication skills and comply with current legislation, i.e. the Equality Act 2010

We can provide training at your place of work at a time which suits you.

Please contact us to discuss your workplace training needs.

You may wish to consider having some ‘Go to’ people who hold a Level 1 qualification in BSL. This will enable you to put the certificates on the wall so all your customers know who the staff members are. The Level 1 course can be achieved in 60 hours of teaching.  Find out more about Level 1 training

We taught a 2 hour Deaf Awareness and BSL session for SCOR London as part of their Global Diversity Week 2018.

“I just wanted to email to say a huge thank you to you for our session yesterday with Kathleen and Paul, it was a huge success. We have had such lovely feedback from employees who attended.” Lydia Christodoulou
