The Equality Act 2010 is the law that bans discrimination and helps achieve equal opportunities in the workplace and in wider society. The NHS has further obligations to take positive action and make sure information is accessible. Deaf Awareness workplace training is taking a valuable step towards equality and inclusion.
Not only will the department be more accessible to deaf patients, staff will be motivated, and the sessions have the added bonus of being CPD accredited.
